AARP with Two Stage Absorption are used when two different refrigeration temperatures have to be achieved from the same plant and capacity requirements for both the stages is large and comparable to each other.
The absorption of refrigerant vapors at different temperatures is done by the same stream of solution in successive manner. This reduces the solution circulation losses. The requirement of heat source temperature is comparable with single stage plants. AARP with Two Stage Absorption have improved COP and power consumption compared to two separate single stage plants.
AARP with Two Stage Absorption are used for meeting low temperature refrigeration requirements using heat source relatively at lower temperature compared to single stage plant. Typically for refrigeration temperature range of 5 to -55 °C.
